Years of experience

Growing up in Southern California as the son of a piano technician, I began working in my dad's piano shop in my early teens. I spent my summers and weekends sweeping floors, sanding finishes and helping with repairs. Eventually, I started helping with more serious rebuilding tasks including restringing pianos, and assisting with pinblock and soundboard installations.

A while later, I moved to Oregon and joined a great team of Portland based technicians giving me the opportunity to service over 750 pianos a year. After several excellent years working there, I decided to strike out on my own and created Puresound Piano Tuning!

I have since made the Pacific Northwest my home, enjoying the wet weather and abundant opportunities for outdoor activity. One of the great things about being a piano technician is some days I get to work near the coast and then another day I might travel east to Bend, or north to Washington!

As a member of the Piano Technician's Guild I have been insipired by the craftsman and innovators in both Southern California and the Pacific Northwest. Between attending national conventions, local chapter meetings and special events, I have had the opportunity to learn from some of the greatest minds in the industry. I look forward to bringing the expertise I have developed over the years to make your piano playing experience as enjoyable as possible.
